Teknoser’s High Security for Wireless Network Project
for DeFacto
DeFacto, the leading firm of Mediterranean fashion, selected Teknoser to satisfy a fast
infrastructure network infrastructure requirement of its design department employees
and for a secure network infrastructure.
The requirement of designing a wireless network with wire performance emerged according to the
requirement analysis and demand made as a result of the meetings held by Teknoser network and
security solutions consultants with DeFacto. A project whereby network security is ensured without
making concession on performance was stepped in with the wireless network project. At the stage of
deploying products suitable for the requirements, Aruba Networks products, which provide full mobility
for the whole infrastructure and have developed integrated network security features, were opted.
Following the demo studies, a professional field study was conducted to establish in-company locations of
Access Point (AP) devices, and model determination stage was initiated. It was prescribed to select a
model which is capable to work as dual channel, enabling both 2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz broadcasts.
It was ensured to manage the accesses centrally by making guest user authorizations for the users who
want to log in the network other than DeFacto employees. Aruba's network monitoring and management
products were used for the demands such as management of the controller and all APs, also, monitoring
of the whole wireless structure, recording of all logs retroactively. Thus, DeFacto IT team achieved an
effective management by managing centrally all the devices and technical settings used in the project.
About the subject matter, Mithat Mutlu, DeFacto Information Technologies Manager, said;
“In the project carried out by Teknoser in collaboration with our IT department, transfer of the business
applications securely via the network, which is very critical in the project, was successfully ensured, we
achieved a very satisfactory result”.
