Özet
Aşk, Fransız filozof Alain Badiou için önemli kavramlardan biridir. Aşkı felsefe yapmanın
koşulu olarak gören Badiou’ya göre, felsefe onunla ilgilenen kişiden bilgin, sanatçı, militan ve
âşık olmasını bekler. Oysa günümüzde aşk sekteye uğramış ve adeta itibarını kaybetmiştir.
Badiou’nun bu sebeple asıl amacı aşkın kaybettiği itibarı yeniden ortaya çıkartıp hakkını
vermektir.
Badiou aşkın yaşamımız içinde bu kadar önemli olmasını görmezden gelen felsefeye, sanata,
edebiyata, siyasete, bilime karşı çıkar. Ona göre aşk her karşılaşmada dünyanın gerçekliğini
ortaya çıkardığı için aşktan vazgeçmek ya da artık aşka inanamamak gibi bir durum söz konusu
olmayacaktır. Aşkın öznel bir güç olduğunun farkında olarak aşka övgüde bulunulmalıdır.
Diğer taraftan Badiou, günümüzde aşk ya tanrısal bir düzenin öznel yansıması olarak kutsala
yükseltilmekte ya da yalnızca bir anlık zevk durumu olarak cinselliğe indirgenilmesini
eleştirmekte aşkın tam da yaşadığımız anın içinde, rastlantısal olarak, bir anda beliriveren bir
şey olarak tasarlanması ve buna göre incelenmesi gerektiğini vurgulamaktadır. Aşk
samimiyetsiz söylemler yerine bizzat yaşantının içinde keşfedilmelidir.
Aşk siyaseti, savaşları, politikaları, toplumları oluşturur. Her ne kadar bu işlevi göz ardı edilse
de aşk insanın kendisini, benliğini eriterek ikileşmeye doğru atılım sergilemesini sağlar. Bu
çalışmada Badiou’nun yüzyılımızda, tüketim toplumunun etkisiyle hızla her şeyi tüketen
insanın aşkı da tüketmesine izin vermeyen bakış açısını, adeta Arthur Rimbaud’un dediği gibi
aşkı yeniden icat etme çabasını ele almaya çalıştık.

Abstract
Love is one of the important concepts for French philosopher Alain Badiou. Badiou considers
love as a condition of doing philosophy and he says that the philosophy expects from people
who are interested in philosophy to be scholar, artist, and militant and in love. However,
nowadays, love is interrupted and almost lost its dignity. Thus, the main purpose of Badiou is to
give its reputation, which is almost gone, back to the love. Badiou opposes philosophy, art, literature, politics and science that ignores the importance of
love in our lives. According to him, love brings out the reality of the world in every encounter.
Thus, it would be out of question to give up on love or not to believe in love. Love should be
praised by being aware of its subjective power. According to Badiou, love is either being raised
to a sacred position as a reflection of the divine order or being degraded to a state of sexuality
for a momentary pleasure. Yet, according to him, love should be designed as incidentally
emerges suddenly, and should be investigated accordingly. Love should be found in life itself
rather than distant words. Badiou opposes philosophy, art, literature, politics and science that ignores the importance of
love in our lives. According to him, love brings out the reality of the world in every encounter.

accordingly. Love should be found in life itself rather than insincere rhetoric. Love creates the politics, wars, policies and societies as well as moves forward towards being
couple by self-dissolving; however, this important function of love has been ignored. In this
study, we have tried to address the perspective of Badiou that does not allow people to consume
the love under the effect of the consumer society which consumes everything rapidly, and his
